I was hoping to have these 2 beauties included in my #abandonedbeauty project, but the location was not working with me! But, these 2 dogs are something special and both are looking for their forever families to come found them.
If either of these beauties are of interest, please reach out to Halfway Home Animal Rescue in Northern New Jersey and they will give you all the information you need to make a decision and get your application started!
Diamond
Beautiful Diamond! She has been a member of the Halfway Home Animal Rescue Team since last October and has been getting lots of medical care for a few issues but is on her way to a happy healthy future.
This girl has an amazing foster mama who has nursed her back to health – and to top it off taught her some MAD TRICKS – but you will need to contact the rescue to learn about them! She was found as a stray – completely emaciated….but look at her now – and seriously, those ears! She will be ready for her furrever home soon, so please contact the rescue to take this amazing girl home.

Bella
Bella’s story is a sad one. She was found living alone in an apartment after both of her people passed away. The building superintendent would go in daily to feed and clean up after her, but poor Bella cried all the time. To make matters worse, Bella showed serious neurological issues – a wobbly walk, and she’d occasionally tip over. Due to both her condition, and her people being sick, Bella had gained a considerable amount of weight and hadn’t been outside in months.
The best way to describe how Bella walks is this …think of an animal who you have seen trapped on an icy pond. All four of her legs are constantly splayed and Bella’s entire body shakes. And to make matters worse, she was completely heartbroken, confused and afraid when we met her. But the next day, her new life began.
Bella is now in a loving foster home and is getting the attention that she’s needed for so long. She has gotten to enjoy some days at the beach, time outside and best of all, the love and companionship of her foster family.
Now Bella is looking for a special family that will give her a forever home. She does have special needs but she gives back more than she takes.
Bella cannot run or walk for very long before having to rest. But she is a great couch potato. Our vet recommends that she sees a specialist and get an expensive MRI in order to diagnose her neurological problems. We are working to raise funds for this and will cover this and any other related medical costs.
